Where about's are you located?
We have occupational therapists located in Perth, Melbourne, Queensland, Adelaide.
Do you offer face-to-face?
We do offer face-to-face within certain areas. Although, please reach out to see if we service your particular location.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes, we definitely do. We offer telehealth Australia-wide and often have increased availability through telehealth assessments.
How does a telehealth functional capacity assessment work?
It is the exact same process as what would be done in a face-to-face assessment, however it will be completed over a video call. You would need access to either your phone, a laptop, and a stable internet connection. Preferably, it would be also good if you had access to your support workers or a caregiver to be able to assist with the assessment.
How long do functional capacity assessments go for?
A functional capacity assessment can last anywhere between two and four hours for the assessment portion of the assessment. This can be broken down into 1 or 2 sessions if required.
What is the cost of a functional capacity assessment?
We charge the NDIS OT rate of $193.99 per hour. The cost of an assessment can vary depending on your situation. Typically, assessments that require a higher intensity of supports or supported independent living accommodation usually can cost between 15 and 20 hours, whereas a standard FCA can be anywhere between 10 and 13 hours.
I'm not on NDIS. Will this work for me?
We do offer NDIS access requests; however, it is very case dependent. We cannot guarantee that you will get accepted onto the NDIS with an assessment, so please keep that in mind.
Are you able to diagnose me?
No, as occupational therapists, we do not have the ability to give you a diagnosis. We assess the functional impacts of your disability and how it impacts your daily life in the following areas: Self-care Physical Social Cognition Mental Self-management
